ITINERARY

Day 1     Oslo – Voss

Depart Oslo and travel by train to Voss. D

Day 2     Voss

Today’s Norway in a Nutshell excursion takes in the highlights of this breathtaking fjord region: Stalheim Gorge (summer only), Gudvangen, the Naeroy Fjord, Flam and Myrdal. BD

Day 3     Voss – Bergen

Catch the train to Bergen and spend the afternoon exploring at your leisure. B

Your hotel: Augustin Hotel

Day 4     Bergen

Norwegian coastal cruise departs Bergen this afternoon. Soak up spectacular views as the ship heads north along the fjords. BD

Day 5     Floro – Molde

Arrive in Alesund and go ashore to explore this pretty art nouveau town. Departures between 15 April and 14 September will also sail into the stunning Geirangerfjord. BLD

Day 6     Kristiansund – Rorvik

Head north to Trondheim, a historical town with an array of handsome civic architecture. BLD

Day 7     Bronnoysund – Svolvaer

Cross the Arctic Circle to Bodo before sailing through the glorious Lofoten Islands. BLD

Day 8     Stokmarknes – Skjervoy

Arrive in Tromso, whose renowned Polar Museum offers a fascinating insight into Arctic life over the centuries. BLD

 

Day 9     Oksfjord – Berlevag

Stop at Hammerfest and continue to Honningsvag, the gateway to the stunning North Cape. BLD

Day 10 Batsfjord – Kirkenes – Berlevag

The vistas become even more dramatic as we approach Kirkenes, only a few kilometres from the Russian border. The ship turns around in Kirkenes to begin the long journey south. BLD

Day 11 Mehamn – Tromso

Stop at Hammerfest before continuing to Tromso. BLD

Day 12 Tromso – Stamsund

Sail through the Lofoten Islands’ intricate network of isles and inlets. BLD

Day 13 Bodo – Rorvik

Travel across the Arctic Circle and through a land of legends to Rorvik. BLD

Day 14 Trondheim

Disembark the ship in Trondheim and spend the remainder of the day at your leisure. B

Day 15 Trondheim – Roros

Take the train to Roros, a town whose unique industrial history has earned it a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. B

Day 16 Roros – Oslo

Sit back for scenic train ride past soaring mountains and glittering lakes. The tour ends on arrival in Oslo. B
